CAP offers a variety of paid opportunities for both current CalArts students and recent graduates who are interested in gaining experience in arts education and community engagement.

Academic Year-long Teaching Opportunities:

During the academic year, CAP offers a variety of teaching opportunities at elementary, middle and high schools, as well as at community centers and libraries after school and on weekends, all across LA County.

Sony Pictures Media Arts Program (SPMAP)

CalArts alumni and current students are invited to apply to teach animation to middle and high school students throughout LA County at one of our five SPMAP Partner Sites. Co-Lead Instructor and Student Instructor positions are available. Co-Lead Instructors are responsible for creating and implementing a syllabus and lesson plans for their 30-week class. Co-Leads also train Student Instructors in teaching their discipline to youth, while ensuring an exchange of knowledge between CalArts and the communities in which CAP has programs.

These positions are now filled.
